This chapter tells the story
of the visit to various places
outside the inner cities
of both Kaunas and Vilnius.
The name of the chapter - Lietuva
is the word "Lithuania" in Lithuanian.

In and around the city of Kaunas
the group visited Slovodka
the Vilhaljampole suburb as it is known
as well as the famous ninth fort.

In and around the city of Vilnius
the group visited Ponar.
The notorious wood of horror.
The local airport is also nearby.

In between Kaunas and Vilnius
an ancient synagogue was visited
as well as the town of Keidan.
The group also visited Trakai castle.
As most of the week was spent
in the cities of Kaunas and Vilnius
it was nice to see a little bit
of various other parts of Lithuania.
